Part-time position available for a Student intern/Research Technician
at the Opportunistic Architectures Lab of IMDEA Networks Institute,
Leganes

Job description and responsibilities:
- Programming in Android (& IOS) for the development of an
experimental app for context-aware device-to-device communications, in
collaboration with IMDEA researchers (an Android app is already
available athttps://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.uc3m&hl=en
which will have to be further developed).
- Set up real experiments and collect results with the developed app.
- Produce weekly reports of activity (in english) and document
carefully the work done.
Applicant's requirements:

1. Profile:
- Ordered person, capable of working under tight time constraints and
independently.
- Proactive worker.
- Capable of efficiently prioritizing assigned daily workload and of
using time productively.
- Fast learner, who enjoys solving technical problems.
- Interested in (applied) research;

2. Required qualifications/skills:
- Proficient in software engineering and databases;
- Solid knowledge of Android programming, especially of applications
communicating over wireless (WiFi, Bluetooth);

3. Optional qualifications/skills:
- Knowledge of IOS programming is a big plus.
- Notions of wireless communications is a plus
- Any experience in coding for Android and IOS out of basic course
projects is a strong plus.
- Experience in SW testing would be a plus

Salary range: 400 to 600 EUR/month, depending on experience (part-time
employment, 20 hours/week).

Duration: to be discussed (4 months minimum)

Starting Date: ASAP.
