Many thanks to you both for this. Yes we do use other ways to evaluate. We use Dr Scratch as our first round of judging. We then use volunteer judges for another 2 or 3 rounds of judging to bring the number of participants to 35 whereby we hold a National Final. At the national final the judges meet (virtual this year) with the students and talk about the development of their project. Throughout the judging round the attached rubric is used and is freely available for students to view also.

If you’d like to review our marks with Dr Scratch after the judging (in about 6 weeks time) I could certainly provide you with this – you may need to remind me though [https://statics.teams.cdn.office.net/evergreen-assets/skype/v2/wink/20.png?v=4]

  Gillian, I guess in addition to the Dr. Scratch scores, you use other ways to evaluate the projects. For us it would be very interesting if we could have access to them in order to see how Dr. Scratch correlates with the others. Do you think that would be possible? (if not this year, we could talk about next year).

  we discontinued the support for organizations, because we don't have the resources for doing it properly. But if you send me the batch (per e-mail, as last year), we will send you back the project's metrics.

We will be running our National Scratch Competition again in Ireland this year and would hope to use Dr Scratch again, later this week. I see on your website you have Dr Scratch for organisations, could I register for that and if so can I then batch upload our competition entries? As background we are the Irish Computer Society and run the Scratch National Competition in Ireland to promote computer science to students from 5-18years. There is no fee to enter the competition
