Buenos días

Me están preguntando esto. Nacho y yo hicimos un artículo para 
Sustainability hace unos años, igualmente para un special issue, se 
anunció con mucho tiempo, pasó por sus ciclos de revisión con facilidad 
y se publicó, y es una Q2 pero en áreas no de ingeniería (de 
sostenibilidad ambiental). Es una de esas revistas a las que cuestionan 
su política editorial (a muchas de MDPI) pero nuestra experiencia fue 
muy positiva y no deja de ser una JCR Q2.

El título de special issue para el que me proponen como Guest Editor no 
puede ser más adecuado para nosotros, han afinado bien el tiro. Y daría 
una oportunidad para alguna publicación en revista adicional del trabajo 
que se está haciendo en el grupo (lógicamente pasaría por su revisión 
por pares con quienes correspondiera, y los revisores tendrían que 
aprobarlo). La parte mala es que ser Guest Editor da trabajo (yo ya lo 
fui una vez con Andrés en 2012, salió muy bien, pero invertí bastante 
tiempo). Si os parece interesante y puedo contar con ayuda del grupo me 
lo pensaría. Si no, si es solo por mí pasaría.

Cuestiones potencialmente delicadas: si el grupo me ayuda, y las mismas 
personas que me ayudan luego mandan cosas para publicar, puede parecer 
que hay personas que son "juez y parte" de un proceso de selección; por 
lo que a mí respecta eso no es un problema porque al final se tendrán 
revisores externos de la base de datos de la revista u otros, harán su 
revisión y el resultado será el que sea, pero por ejemplo sí puede 
resquebrajarse la parte de "blind" del "peer review". También os digo 
que a mí no me supone un problema y que yo si lo hago es porque 
beneficie a otros del grupo en publicaciones, en caso contrario prefiero 
no hacerlo.
