[Opensym2020] Fwd: Companies providing support for BBB & RocketChat

  Dear all,

Jesús has been investigating how to run a conference with free software -
and if there could be support for doing this. I attach you what he has
found. I think running OpenSym 2020 with free software could be a good
idea, even if we have to devote a small budget for this -- I had budgeted
some money for it anyway.

At our university, the media team has set up the infrastructure, but we
do not know yet if they could run it (and probably we will have to pay
something for the service) - so he asked for quotes as well.

  regards, Gregorio

Hi, Gregorio

[I'm writing in English just in case you want to share this message]

There is a handful of companies providing services for BBB:

https://bigbluebutton.org/commercial-support/

I've asked Blindside for a quote. I'll let you know when I get an
answer.

The main company providing services for RocketChat is RocketChat, and
they have a pricing that could be good enough for OpenSym:

https://rocket.chat/pricing/

As you can see, "Pro" is 3 USD per month per user, which I assume would
be less than 300 USD for OpenSym.

I can ask them for a quote if you want.

Saludos

        Jesus.
