Requirements


This protocol is designed to provide a workable reliable transport layer for coordination of cooperative applications with the following requirements:
N to m communication: multiple sender-multiple receiver transport-layer protocol.
Dynamic group membership.
Reliable ordered delivery: members of a group receive every packet sent to this group in order and without duplicated packets.
Low transmission delay, but not critical delay constraints.
Scalability: REMP adapts properly when the number of the service users increases, even if they are widely distributed.
