RoCKIn is an EU-funded project aiming to foster scientific progress and innovation in cognitive systems and robotics through the design and implementation of competitions.
I have been paticipating since 2013 in this competition, in the @home league.
RoboCup is an international initiative that fosters research in robotics and artificial intelligence, on multi-robot systems in particular, through competitions of RoboCup Robot Soccer, RoboCup Rescue, RoboCup@Home, and RoboCupJunior. RoboCup currently includes a number of different robot soccer leagues that focus on different research challenges. The RoboCup 4-legged league is the former standard platform league, in which two teams of Aibo Robots played.
I participated in this league since 2004 to 2007, in the Teamchaos team.
This league was the continuation of the 4-legged league. In this competition, two teams of Nao Humanoids played robot soccer.
I participated in this league since 2007 to 2013, in the SpiTeam.
From 2009 to 2013 I applied the Nao Humanoids to therapies for dementia.
Currently, I am working with Clece to deploy this system in a center in Fuerteventura (Canary Islands).
The Robot Operating System (ROS) is a set of software libraries and tools that help you build robot applications. From drivers to state-of-the-art algorithms, and with powerful developer tools, ROS has what you need for your next robotics project. And it's all open source. The last years I have been using intensivelly this software for research and teaching.
